Cardamom is a perennial plant that grows in tropical and subtropical regions. The stem stands upright and can reach heights of up to three meters.
The leaves, which are lanceolate in shape and dark green in color, are reminiscent of canna leaves. The fruit is capsules that are ovoid or oblong in shape and have three chambers.
